Eosinophilic ascites may be an important clinical sign of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome
(SHI), and it should be kept in mind in the absence of evidence for any other recognized cause of
eosinophilia. We report a 34-year-old woman, presented for isolated exudative ascites rich in
Eosinophilic Polynuclear. Laboratory tests highlighted a persistent hypereosinophilia at 7191
/mm3. The computerized tomography scan showed moderate ascites. Multiple biopsies revealed
eosinophil count high in sigmoid and descending colon. Bone marrow aspiration showed
hypercellularity with 16% mature eosinophils, without blasts. Cytogenetic analysis showed a
normal karyotype. The expression of a FIP1L1-PDGFRA (FIP1-like 1/ Platelet derived growth
factor receptor alpha) fusion protein and no identifiable etiology for eosinophilia, all these findings
were suggestive of a diagnosis of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome with myeloproliferative
variant and prednisone was started, with good outcomes in clinical and biological. A preventive
treatment with Imatinib was proposed. The patient remained asymptomatic (24-month decline).

Laparoscopic surgery has flourished in recent years in many surgical specialties: digestive,
gynecological and urological, minimizing the mimicry of laparotomic gestures too aggressive,
sometimes for pathologies so benign. In order to evaluate the knowledge, fears and quality of
information of the Moroccan population with regard to laparoscopic surgery, a survey was carried
out over a one-year period from 01/07/2005 to 30/01/06/2016 at the level of eight Moroccan
regions. The results of our survey showed that the Moroccan population is inadequate in terms of
laparoscopic surgery, risks and benefits. Also, many people have false information about the use of
laser or carbon dioxide. In order for celiac surgery, a topical technique that is promoted to a
definite future, to develop, this technique should not put patients at greater risk than those inherent
in conventional surgery. This will be done by respecting the technical and safety rules that govern
their practice and above all to inform the patient and therefore the general population about the
technique, its progress, its complications and above all its advantages in order to sensitize them for
	easier access to care.

Our studyconsists in reporting the experience of the General Surgery Service Wing III, CHU Ibn
Rochd Casablanca, in the management of thyroid goitres, in order to analyze the anatomo-clinical
aspects, the means of investigation, management in a surgical environment. We collected data on 89
cash in the service between June 2013 and June 2015. The initial assessment included an
examination, a complete clinical examination and a paraclinical assessment mainly made of a
thyroid ultrasound and a hormonal thyroid assessment made mainly of the TSH. The meanage of
our patients was 49 years and the sex ratio was 11.71 (82F / 7H). The duration of evolution was
more than 2 yearsin 31% of the cases, 58% of the patients had consulted for an asymptomatic mass.
Our patients were thyroids in 100% of cases. Ultrasound showed multi heteronodular goitre in 89%
of cases and 34% of cases were classified TIRADS 3. There was no evidence of diploid character in
all cases. The reconciled pathologies were benignin 86% of cases and malignantin 14% of cases,
the latter being mainly represented by papillary carcinoma (9.76%).The surgical technique
represented by total thyroidectomyin 100% of cases in ourseries, systematically associating nerve
research recurrence and parathyroids, showed post-operative results not very different from
published studies in particular recurrent complications (5.61%) and parathyroid (16.85%).

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract.
These tumors are mostly localized in the stomach and small intestine. The particularity of these
tumors is related to the discovery on the surface of its cells of the expression of a growth receptor
with Tyrosine Kinase activity called C-kit. Our retrospective study focused on 5 cases of digestive
stromal tumors diagnosed, treated and followed in the department of visceral surgery (Wing 3) of
CHU IBN ROCHD of Casablanca. The aim of this work is to illustrate the clinical, paraclinical,
histopathological, prognostic, evolutionary and therapeutic characteristics of these tumors using 5
clinical observations and a general review of the literature.

The adenocarcinoma of the duodenum is a rare malignant tumor, its diagnosis is often delayed due
to clinical latency. The diagnosis is based on endoscopy and the anatomatomopathological study,
while ultrasound and computed tomography allow the assessment of extension. The treatment is
essentially surgical. We report a retrospective study of two cases of adenocarcinoma of the
duodenum hospitalized in the department of general surgery (wing3) of CHU IBNO ROCHD
CASABLANCA during a period from 2007 to 2013 in order to determine the epidemiological,
diagnostic, therapeutic and evolutionary profile of the adenocarcinoma of the duodenum. The age
of our patients is 37 years and 61 years, both patients were male. Clinical symptomatology is
nonspecific, dominated by high digestive stenosis. Oesogastroduodenal fibroscopy with biopsy
confirmed the diagnosis. One of our patients has benefited from a cephalic duodenopancreatectomy
and the other from a gastro-jejunal derivation. The evolution is marked by the improvement of the
general condition of the 1st and the death of the 2nd after a decline of 14 months. The prognosis of
this disease is related to the extent of the tumor and the type of treatment. Improved survival is
dependent on early diagnosis and radical surgery.

The Ulnar dimelia or Ulnar duplication is a very rare congenital anomaly of the upper limb in its
classical form which combines ulna duplication ,total absence of the radius and polydactyly. The
complexity of treatment is related to stiffness of the elbow and wrist. The results are satisfactory
aesthetically, but less functionally. We report the case of 2 year old girl with severe stiffness of the

Accidental ingestion of batteries in children is strong resurgence due to their use in products that are
available to children. The electric battery is not a foreign body like the others, two specific injury
mechanisms are involved , firstly burns due to electrolysis , the other by the release of toxic

The Interest of this study is to educate on the toxicity caused by batteries.

Introduction: Hypospadias is the most common genital malformation. Its prevalence is estimated at
3-8 cases per 1,000 male births. Its management is surgical. Complications are the most important
challenge despite the progress of surgical techniques. Methods: A retrospective study on 284 cases,
during the period of 6 years from 2009 to 2016, to identify the epidemiological and clinical aspects
and the management of distal hypospadias. The surgical techniques used were Duplay , Duplau-
SnodGrass(TIP), Mathieu, and Koff. The minimum follow-up was 6 months. Throught this study and
a literature review, we will try to describe the particular clinical entity and take stock of the
	complications related the differents treatments
