Background: Cardiovascular complications, particularly left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), are
the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in chronic haemodialysis patients. Study objective:
describing the LVH prevalence in our population and determining its risk factors. Patients and
Methods: We adopted a multicentric analytical prospective study carried out in both the
nephrology, haemodialysis and kidney transplant department, and in the cardiology department of
the Marrakech University Hospital Centre. We selected chronic haemodialysis patients that
underwent thrice-weekly sessions of 4 hours and with a long-standing haemodialysis exceeding 9
months. Patients received a trans-thoracic echocardiogram 24 hours before and after the
haemodialysis session by the same operator. Results: Our study concerned 40 patients. The age
average is of 41.05 18.8 years old. Seniority in haemodialysis is of 6.9 6.17 years. Initial
nephropathy was diabetic in 12.5% of cases. 72.5% cases had anaemia. 70% of patients had
secondary hyperparathyroidism. 67.5% cases exhibited LVH. The interventricular septum thickness
in diastole was averaging 12.92 2.66 mm and 10.8 2.5 mm before and after the haemodialysis
session respectively. The posterior wall thickness in diastole was of 12.07 2.2 mm before the
haemodialysis session, and 10.2 2.4 mm after it. Conclusion: Our study shows a high LVH
prevalence. The LVH risk factors identified are anemia, high blood pressure, and
	hyperparathyroidism.

The realistic needs of current national construction and social development require higher
education to train applied innovative talents with innovative spirit and practical ability. As a useful
supplement and an important continuation of the first classroom, entrepreneurship education in the
second classroom should start from the overall work of school personnel training, from the needs of
students growth and development, from the integration of activities, and from the training
objectives, build an integrated entrepreneurship education platform including entrepreneurship
classroom platform, entrepreneurship practice platform, entrepreneurship competition platform and
student entrepreneurship organization platform. In entrepreneurship education, colleges and
universities should fundamentally break through the disadvantage of the second classroom
development of activities for activities, competitions for competitions, so as to make the first and
second classes closely cooperate and jointly promote the training of applied innovative talents.

Any tumor of the parotid that was insufficiently treated initially may recur, requiring specific
surgical management. The objective of our study is to report our experience in the management of
recurrences of parotid tumors, by studying the different diagnostic elements as well as the different
stages of therapeutic management. For this we conducted a retrospective study, concerning 18
cases of recurrence of parotid tumors within the department of ENT - CCF of the Avicenne Military
Hospital of Marrakech (Morocco) between January 2010 and December 2017. The different
diagnostic and therapeutic modalities have been discussed with the data reported in the literature.

Tonsillectomy is an intervention that finds its indications in current ENT surgery. Like any surgery,
tonsillectomy carries the risk of postoperative complications. This study evaluates the benefit of a
diet restricted to fluids and soft foods, in terms of hemorrhage and post-tonsillectomy pain. This is a
comparative retrospective study of 182 patients, who underwent a tonsillectomy in the ENT
department of the Avicenne military hospital in Marrakech, during the period from 2013 to 2017.
The patients were divided into two groups, the first , subject to a restricted diet, the second
authorized to resume a normal diet. This last diet, in the light of our study and the data in the
literature, exposes little or no risk of bleeding and does not worsen the pain in post tonsillectomy.

Background. Diversifying the formulation of supplementary food should consider the nutrition
aspects, health benefits, acceptance, economic value, durability and the qualified resources to
optimize the handling of nutritional problems in children under-fives age. Purpose. This study was
aimed to analyze the efficacy of biscuits enriched with banana sky and flour tuna skipjack on
the nutrition status of underweight children under-fives (2-5 years old). Methodology.
An experimental study was designed with Single Blind Pre-post Randomized Controlled
Trial (RCT) Study applied for this research.22 underweight children aged 2-5 years old (Z-score
BB/U -2 SD) in the Health Centers of Tawiri and Nania were the samples of the study. The
treatment group was treated with biscuits enriched with banana sky and flour tuna skipjack and the
control group was treated with milk biscuits for 4week. Weight, height and 24-hour recall were
measured before and after the intervention. Results. There was an increase on energy and protein
consumption after the intervention. The sensory perceptions and obedience level on consuming
biscuits enriched with banana sky and flour tuna skipjack with a portion of 50g per day during the
intervention were high. There was significant increase on weight after being trated with
supplementary biscuits enriched with banana sky and flour tuna skipjack while there was not any
significant increase observed on the height. There was greater increase on nutritional status on
treatment group compared to control group after the intervention.
Conclusion. Supplementarybiscuits enriched with banana sky and flour tuna skipjack can increase
the weight and improve the nutritional status of children under-fives.

Keloid scars are the result of an alteration in the normal healing process. Numerous studies have
demonstrated the existence of cardiovascular risk factors in subjects carrying keloids. We conducted
a cross-sectional study from January 2012 to December 2016 at the Brazzaville Hospital and
University Center (H.U.C).Data from 34 patients with keloid scars were analyzed. The sex ratio
was 1:1.8 with an average age of 37.52 15.55 years. Pathological microalbuminuria was found in
	18 diabetic and/or hypertensive patients and in 9 non-diabetic and non-hypertensive patients
(p=0.6). The existence of pathological microalbuminuria in patients with keloids appears to be
related to associated vascular pathologies and/or to the chronic and vascular inflammatory
	mechanisms involved in keloid pathogenesis.

PRP corresponds to a plasma preparation in which the platelets have been concentrated, it is used
as a source of bioactive proteins, mainly growth factors, known to play a role of primary
importance in the process of tissue regeneration. Our work consists of a prospective study of a series
of 23 patients with skin scars on the face within the Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic
Surgery at the Avicenna Military Hospital. This study was conducted over a period of 18 months,
from January 2015 to July 2016.The objective of this work is to highlight the contribution of the
injection of PRP in the after-effects of skin scars from the face to through an epidemiological and
clinical study in order to retain indications in this field. Our study opts for a non-surgical and
minimally invasive technique by injecting PRP by taking advantage of the biological and
physiological virtues which are attributed to it and already verified in other disciplines. especially
in orthodontics and sports medicine. PRP injection is a safe and effective therapy with no
significant side effects. It is a promising product due to its autologous origin, its simplicity of
obtaining and its mechanism of action.
